Privacy Policy

The short version
- The app keeps your vehicles, reminders and service notes on your phone. We do not receive them.
- The app has no accounts, ads, analytics or tracking.
- When you book on our website, we collect what we need to do the job: your contact details, service address and vehicle information.
- We never sell your information.
This policy covers the Mora Mobile Auto Care mobile app for iPhone and Android ("the app") and booking on moramobileautocare.com ("the website"). Mora Mobile Auto Care is operated by Christopher Mora in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
1. Information stored only on your phone
Vehicles, maintenance reminders and personal service notes you add in the app are saved in the app's storage on your device. They are not sent to Mora or to any server we run. Your phone's own backup service (such as iCloud or Google backup) may include this data, based on your device settings. These records are not encrypted by the app, so please do not put sensitive personal information in notes.
You can delete this data at any time with More › Clear my local data, or by uninstalling the app.
2. Permissions
- Notifications are requested only when you save a reminder. Reminders are scheduled on your device.
- Photos are requested only when you choose photos for a consultation email. The photos are attached to an email draft in your own email app. Mora receives them only if you send that email.
The app does not use your camera, microphone, contacts or location. You can decline or turn off permissions in your phone settings.
3. Information you send us when booking
Booking happens on our website, not inside the app. When you book, you give us:
- Your name, phone number, email and contact preference
- The service address
- Vehicle details, including VIN, year, make, model, engine, mileage and the problem you describe
- Your chosen appointment time and that you agreed to our Service Terms
- The payer name and amount for the $60 mobile service fee
If you choose a saved vehicle in the app, its year, make, model and mileage are added to the website link so you don't have to type them again.
We use this information to schedule and do your service, write estimates and invoices, contact you about your appointment, confirm your fee payment and handle warranty questions.
4. Services we use
Booking records are kept in Google Workspace tools (Google Sheets, Google Calendar and Gmail). The VIN is decoded with the free NHTSA vehicle lookup. Payments are handled by Jim and Zelle through your bank, and we only see the payer name, amount and memo. Our website is hosted by Netlify. Each of these services has its own privacy practices.
5. What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your information.
- We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking tools in the app.
- We do not share your information except with the services above, as needed to do your job, or when the law requires it.
6. How long we keep it
Unpaid booking holds are deleted automatically after 30 minutes. Completed booking, estimate and invoice records are kept for business, tax and warranty purposes.
7. Your choices
To see, correct or delete the information you sent us, email moramobilemechanic@gmail.com or call or text 505-818-0254. We will respond within 30 days. Some records may need to be kept for tax or warranty reasons.
8. Children
The app and website are for vehicle owners and are not meant for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
