Service Terms

Version 2026-10-22 · Rio Rancho, New Mexico

The short version

  • $60.00 mobile service fee is due before your appointment. It is non-refundable and is credited toward your bill when the repair is done.
  • If you decline or cancel the repair, you owe the $60.00 fee plus inspection or diagnostic time at $100.00 per hour.
  • All parts must be paid in full before parts are ordered and repairs begin.
  • The warranty covers only the parts installed and is valid only at the service address where the work was performed.

By booking, approving an estimate, or allowing work on your vehicle, you agree to these terms.

1. Mobile service fee

A $60.00 mobile service fee is due before we come to your location. It holds your appointment and covers travel and setup. The fee is non-refundable. If you have the repair done, the $60.00 is credited toward your final bill.

2. Inspection and diagnostic time

Inspection and diagnostic time is billed at $100.00 per hour for the time spent on your vehicle. If you decline the repair, cancel the job, or choose not to have the work done, you owe the $60.00 mobile service fee plus the inspection or diagnostic time spent on your vehicle.

3. Written estimate and your approval

You get a written estimate before any repair work starts. No repair work is done without your approval, either online or by phone. For approval by phone, we record who approved the work, the phone number, the date and time, and exactly what was approved, and you get a copy of the estimate. If the cost would go over your approved estimate by more than 10% or $50 (whichever is greater), we stop and get your OK first.

4. Labor rate

Labor is billed at $100.00 per hour. Repair times come from industry labor guides or the actual time spent, as shown on your estimate.

5. Parts are paid before work starts

All parts must be paid in full before parts are ordered and before repairs begin. If you cancel after parts are ordered, returnable parts are refunded minus any supplier restocking fee. Special-order, electrical and opened parts may not be returnable and are not refundable.

6. Parts

Parts are new unless the estimate or invoice says they are used, rebuilt or aftermarket. You can look at and keep the parts we replace. Tell us before we leave. Parts with a core charge, or parts that must be disposed of by law, are handled separately (keeping a core part means you pay the core charge). Parts you do not ask for are disposed of when the job is finished.

7. Customer-supplied parts

We can install parts you provide, but there is no warranty on those parts or on the labor to install them. If a customer-supplied part fails, the labor to replace it again is billed.

8. Warranty

Eligible routine service (such as oil service, brakes, batteries, tune-ups, maintenance and charging system repairs) carries a 12-month / 12,000-mile limited warranty on parts and labor, whichever comes first. The warranty covers only the specific parts we installed and the labor we performed. It does not cover other parts or systems, even if they are nearby or related. The warranty is valid only at the service address where the original work was performed: warranty inspections and repairs are done by Mora Mobile Auto Care at that same address, and the vehicle must be available there. If the vehicle has been moved to a different address, the warranty does not apply unless we agree in writing first. Contact us first with any warranty concern. We do not pay for repairs done by another shop unless we agree in writing first. Turbo and performance work is consultation only and has no Mora warranty. Diagnostic time, customer-supplied parts and used parts have no warranty. The warranty does not apply if the vehicle is abused, raced, overheated, in an accident, or worked on by someone else in the repaired area, or if warning lights or needed maintenance are ignored. The invoice must be paid in full for the warranty to apply.

9. Payment

The balance is due when the work is finished. We accept card (online payment link), Zelle and cash. If a payment is returned, reversed or charged back, you agree to pay the amount due plus any fees charged to us.

10. Work location

You confirm you have the right to have the work done at the service address, including any landlord, HOA or property owner permission. The vehicle must be on a safe, reasonably level surface with room to work. We may reschedule for weather or unsafe conditions. If we reschedule, your mobile service fee carries over to the new visit. We use drip pans and clean up, but we are not responsible for stains from leaks that already existed.

11. Vehicle condition

Older or rusted vehicles may have seized, brittle or corroded parts (bolts, sensors, fittings, clips, lines) that can break during a normal repair. We will tell you before repairing anything extra, and that repair is billed separately. We are not responsible for problems that existed before the work, or for problems we recommended fixing that you declined.

12. Moving and test-driving

You allow us to start, move and road-test your vehicle as needed to diagnose it and confirm the repair.

13. Personal belongings

Please remove valuables from the vehicle before service. We are not responsible for items left inside.

14. Photos and messages

We may take photos of your vehicle for your estimate and our records. We will not post them with your personal information without your permission. You agree to receive texts and emails about your appointment, estimate, invoice and warranty. Reply STOP to stop texts.

15. Limits

To the extent New Mexico law allows, our responsibility for any repair is limited to fixing the work in question, redoing it, or refunding what you paid for it. We are not responsible for indirect costs such as towing, rental cars or lost time, except where the law does not allow this limit. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under New Mexico law.

16. Disputes and governing law

If there is a problem, please contact us first so we can make it right. These terms are governed by New Mexico law. If any part of these terms is found invalid, the rest still applies.
